Acclaimed master hurdy-gurdy player, Frédéric Holweck, originally from the traditional music-rich south of France joins Scott Miller (flute, uilleann pipes), Emma Dansak (viola) and Nathan Glazier (guitar) in the Gaulway Ramblers, based in Auburn, Alabama. From bourrées to barndances, jigs, and reels, the Ramblers take the best of Irish, Breton, and French traditional dance music producing rich harmonious drones from the hurdy-gurdy and pipes, along with sensitive, yet driving guitar backing. This unique instrumental combination stirs the soul and gets the feet tapping.
Wolf & Clover takes inspiration from a variety of musical genres, with heavy influence coming from the Irish (and other Celtic) traditions as well as the individual backgrounds of each member of the group. With Wolf & Clover, expect new tunes, especially Irish-style tunes written by living composers, and the oldest of the old at the same time.
